The follow is my comment made on Dinghy_Dog’s recent Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess blog post regarding Jeff Gerstmann’s review of said game.

I knew the second I saw that 8.8 score, fanboys the world over would be fuming! That’s too bad since they could be enjoying the game and not whining about someone’s O-P-I-N-I-O-N. Not only is an 8.8 a really good score for any game, but people need to keep in mind that is also isn’t a bad score either. I agreed with Jeff on some of the presentation issues it has, especially for a game series as legendary as this one is. Also, why are you so resistant to the series evolving? That is part of how it has stayed so fresh and high quality up to this point. The Zelda series didn’t become the mega series it is by not innovating and evolving.
