Most Anticipated of 2007 Redux

Last December, I put together my most anticipated games for 2007. Now that we are in the third month of the aforementioned year, I’d like to present my newly updated list of my most anticipated games for the rest of 2007.

(in no particular order)

1. Hokuto no Ken (PS2)
Why?: I love the anime and manga on which it is based, but my main reason is that it will be the first game with this license that won’t suck! Plus, it helps that it was developed by the creators of Guilty Gear, Arc System Works.

2. BioShock (X360)
Why?: I have never played the SystemShock games, so I don’t really know, except that it looks awesome!

3. Bleach DS 2nd: Kokui Hirameku Chinkon Uta (DS)
Why?: I named the original Bleach DS my Fighting Game of the Year for 2006, so if this one is as good as I am hearing, it should be a contender for this year as well.

4. Lair (PS3)
Why?: This game looks to potentially have the best use of the SixAxis motion control of any game yet by far.

5. Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (DS)
Why?: It’s a Zelda game. Need I say more?

6. Half-Life 2: The Orange Box (PS3, X360)
Why?: Easily the biggest bang for your gaming dollar this year! Five amazing games for $60? Sign me up!

7. Tekken 6 (PS3)
Why?: I have been there for every Tekken release on day one (sans PSP), why stop now?

8. Ninja Gaiden Sigma (PS3)
Why?: I have never played the newer Ninja Gaiden games. That’s reason enough for me!

9. Stranglehold (PS3, X360)
Why?: Based as a sequel to what is arguably John Woo’s best movie and in game form no less! Hopefully Midway won’t screw this up.

10. Unreal Tournament 3 (PS3, X360)
Why?: It’s UT! ‘Nuff said!

Honorable Mentions: Raiden III, Persona 3, Odin Sphere (all PS2)
