In Review: Prince of Persia: Warrior Within & Max Anarchy

I decided to deliver my thoughts on Max Anarchy (Anarchy Reigns) and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within in a video on YouTube. Check it out!

Platinum × Kurosawa

Max Anarchy (PS3) – I received shipment of Platinum Games’ latest offering! This preorder also includes a download code for Bayonetta! Expect some anarchy to the maximum! Have fun waiting for at least 8 months before ya’ll can play it, suckers! *heh*

Band Hero (PS2) – Same deal with this pick-up as with all the other like minded pick-ups over the past 4-5 months: Cheap at only $2 = the right price.

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (PS2) – If you recall, I originally bought this game back in 2010 for Xbox. While playing that one this past week, I was getting a bit frustrated by its bugs so I ended up getting the PS2 version a few days ago. I still completed by first playthrough on the Xbox version, but then loaded up the PS2 version and played through it twice more. Warrior Within is definitely as good as @hart704 said it was despite the dumb baditude and stupid Godsmack music. It reminded me of Mirror’s Edge in that combat is downplayed (though only a bit in Warrior Within) in favor of platforming and subsequent plays are notably better than the first.

Kagemusha & High and Low (The Criterion Collection Blu-ray) – Two more Akira Kurosawa films on Blu-ray are now in my collection. Have all of the Criterion Kurosawa releases so far minus Sanjuro. Ran is also on Blu-ray, but it’s not a Criterion release so I hope they do it eventually.

P.S. – @hart704 and I did an episode of our podcast this past week featuring 6h05tly. Check it out here!
